From the moment the patient arrives at the hospital all the way through discharge, every member of the surgery and hospital team works to keep families informed, answer questions, provide education, prevent infection, and monitor the patient’s experience. Achieving outstanding outcomes defines our surgical program. In fact, our surgery team has not had a surgical inquired infection in the past year!

Our Surgery Department includes 6 surgical suites, a post-anesthesia care unit, and a separate suite for endoscopic procedures. Procedures performed at Savoy Medical Center include endoscopy, general surgery, & dentistry.
Our Same Day Surgery program allows for many procedures to be performed in an outpatient setting. Patients typically arrive in the morning early and go home the same day once they have recovered from the procedure and anesthesia and have no issues that would warrant an overnight stay on our MedSurg floor. You can count on our nurses to follow up with each patient once they go home to address any concerns or questions the patient or family might have post-procedure.
