Hospitalist Program
SMC Hospitalists are physicians who specialize in caring for acutely ill, hospitalized patients.
They are on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to address any patient issues that may occur. Each day, our hospitalists work with patients during rounds. At the time of discharge, patients will be referred to primary care physicians for follow-up. In the event a patient does not have a primary care physician, the hospitalist will work with patients to meet their needs.
