JOB SUMMARY:
Under the supervision of the Director of Therapy or Occupational Therapist, the Occupational Therapist’s Assistant has the responsibility and accountability for implementing care for patients referred for Occupational Therapy according to the plan of care established by an occupational therapist. Occupational Therapist’s Assistant is responsible for adhering to all standards of the Occupational Therapy Practice Act as they apply to providing therapy care, supplies, equipment and education for their patient population.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Graduate of School of Occupational Therapist Assistant program, minimum of Associates degree.
Licensed by the State of Louisiana
Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
