We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our inpatient psychiatric unit. Key Responsibilities:
– Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients admitted to the acute inpatient psychiatric unit
– Conduct mental health assessments and develop individualized care plans
– Administer medications and monitor patient responses, ensuring safety and efficacy
– Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate treatment and discharge planning
– Observe and document patient behaviors, progress, and any changes in condition
– Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and coping strategies
– Ensure a safe and therapeutic environment by adhering to safety protocols and crisis intervention procedures
– Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations and standards
Requirements:
Qualified candidates will possess an active Louisiana RN license. A current CPR certification. Psychiatric experience highly preferred.
