JOB SUMMARY: A member of the multi-disciplinary team that works in the use of therapeutic, creative and self-care activities toward the goal of coping with disability and improving functioning in the activities of daily living.

Skills checklist will reflect competencies that will be measured during the orientation and annually. Information obtained will be assessed and evaluated by the department manager by observation and/or testing. Corrective action will be provided to ensure compliance with and continuance of current employees’ knowledge and skills.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Graduate of a Physical Therapy Program approved by the Louisiana State Board of Physical Therapy Examiner or its equivalent. Currently licensed by the State of Louisiana
Experience: 1-2 years (preferred)
Skills: Effective interpersonal written and verbal skills, psychological sensitivity, supervisory, and instructional skills. Must be able to work effectively with patients of all age groups, pediatrics, adolescents, adult and geriatric. Able to accurately document /record progress notes, operate effectively and efficiently under stress.
