JOB SUMMARY:
Follow established procedures and guidelines to perform routine laboratory procedures to test the
quality of the organization’s raw materials, in- process products, and finished products. Perform
routine quantitative and qualitative chemical or biological analysis to verify process conditions
and compile research data. Evaluate the physical characteristics of raw materials and products
such as permeability, disintegration, and crystal growth viscosity. Record results, perform
calculations, and prepare simple technical reports, including conclusions and recommendations.
Follow instructions and checklists to set-up equipment and apparatus and mix chemical solutions
for use in tests. Perform routine maintenance and safety checks on laboratory equipment to
ensure it is in good working order.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Licensed by State of Louisiana
Associate or Bachelor degree
Experience: 1-2 years (preferred)
Skills: Good communication skills, ability to identify problems that may adversely affect test, performance/reporting and perform phlebotomy procedures.
