Job Summary:
Assist the physician and/or mid-level practitioner in performing examinations and specialized procedures in accordance with Savoy Medical Center, Rural/Physician Clinics policies and procedures and follows through on patient care services as directed by the physician/Nurse Practitioner.
REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS:
– High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a certified Medical Assistant program preferred
– Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA or RMA) is highly desirable
– Basic computer knowledge
– Proven experience in a clinical setting
– Knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and healthcare regulations
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
– Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
– Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
– Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems
